In 1916 Spencer and Julie Penrose purchased what is now known as Penrose House Conference Center. Built in 1910 on the retired Dixon orchard, the property inspired the name El Pomar, Catalan for apple orchard.

Use of Penrose House is provided at no cost for qualified 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations and government agencies. Learn more about eligible organizations and requests!
