Jantzen Peake painted this mural at The Peake gallery in the Perk Downtown in 2020 on the second floor in the hallway walls that lead to the outside patio. The artist mentioned, “I’m fascinated with fictional story telling and inspiration from Alice in Wonderland.” Jantzen ties in pop-surrealism as well as attempting to capture the audience through his vibrant use of color and rendered characters.

The inscription on the left inner wall of the door reads, “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye.” This is a quote from, “The Little Prince,” a book that the artist’s father would read to him as a child opening up his eyes to the free and wonderful world of creative imagination.
