This central walkway mural is one of a series of murals created in 2013 by John Wiley and a crew of painters for the Bass Pro Shop to provide realistic backgrounds for a series of nature dioramas that decorate the upper walls of their retail space near Northgate boulevard in Colorado Springs. The hand painted murals depict familiar scenes of our region to give the customer a sense of traveling through Colorado’s landscape as the murals transport the viewer through a series of panoramic vistas. This mural, which is a series of nature scenes, is over 600′ long and 12′ to 15′ high, and is by far the largest mural in El Paso county. Overall the entire store has over 1200 linear feet of murals 10′ to 20′ high.
